    Default Super-Vee Spark Plug Question

I run a former Bertils 1.8 liter water cooled super-vee engine in my CSR and have a question about plugs. The car came with two types of plugs: the Bosch Super R0 182 and Champion C57CX. The Bosch appears to run on the verge of detonation, while the Champions look too cold to me, so I would be very interested to hear what you other super-vee guys use.

I checked the Champions website, which lists the C58CX and C59CX as hotter versions of the C57CX, but couldn't find any comparable guide on the Bosch website.

Anyway, here's a pic of the two plug types from a recent session.

    Thanks! Stan

    Default Super-Vee Spark Plug Question

    Stan,

We have run FSV more many years and never heard of using either of those before. Try Bosch W08CS or W2CS. I believe the 08'S are a bit colder plug and should work fine.

    Denny,
Did you get your fuel cell fixed to run the OVR regional in a couple weeks.

    Stan,

I had a heck of a time trying to find W2CS plugs for my 1835. Bertil has them, though, so if you have any trouble finding either the W08CS's or the W2CS plugs, you may want to try Bertil.

I think you have to source most of the silver plugs from Germany these days.

    Good luck!

Just looking the plug on the right it has been "cliped". I the old days you had to clip the ground yourself but now I have seen them sold that way. Maybe this is the PN# difference?

I have several sets of these Champion racing plugs, Mark, and they come that way from the factory. Stan
