I have a Van Diemen FC Pinto. Rebuilt Titan Series 2 oil pump. Fresh engine. I am getting extremely high oil pressure both on the gauge in the car as well as with a separate oil pressure gauge straight to the block. I have backed off the oil pressure valve adjustment quite a ways and still pegging the gauge at modest revs.
Running 5w -30 synthetic and had no issues prior to rebuilding the oil pump.
Any ideas on what might be going on?
