I know there are other places focused on this but I figured people on this board would be more likely to be 'like minded' when it comes to racing.
If anyone on here runs a WRL or champcar and has an open seat at any events within ~12 hours of northern WV this year, please let me know.
I would prefer:
-Rear drive, relatively lightweight car (Miata, Lotus, RX7, etc)
-Relatively serious about winning
-Serious about safety
-I am 5'11", 195#, pretty side shoulders. Not super picky about space as long as I fit.
-I cannot invest a huge amount of non-track time
I can offer:
-Will pay my share of cost within reason
-I am a moderately accomplished driver with a few track records (in P2) under my belt. I have instructed at Pittrace, Summit Point, and VIR and am relatively expert at those tracks. I also have varying levels of experience at Road Atlanta, Gingerman, Grattan, Watkins Glen, and Mid Ohio. I have no experience with endurance racing just to be clear.
-I am an expert mechanic and own a small race shop, with access to most tools. I am also a good welder and an acceptable machinist, and a mechanical engineer. I can help maintain and tune the car at the track and can make/repair parts off the track as my schedule permits.
-I have experience driving a wide range of cars from P2 to supercars to miatas. I am not particularly picky about car setup.
-I am honestly not super outgoing, but I am friendly, even tempered, and good under pressure, and can get along with most people.
Anyway, if anyone is interested or know someone who might be, Pm me or post and we can discuss details.
Thanks,
Pat
