Default Sad to report the passing of Mike Keirns

Passed away last Sept, just heard from his wife Sandy. For those who remember, Mike was the designer of the KBS MK 5, a car which arguably took over the F440 class for several years to come. He was always looking for that little bit of advantage, whether, "shocks" which held the rubber pucks, to the legal floor, which had a 1" 'tunnel' between the sidepods, and was really straight line fast. Mike was fun to work with, and never said no to those who needed his help. And of course, Sandy, who kept things on an even keel. I remember at races, Mike had the tee shirt that said 'Boss'. Sandy had one that said 'the real Boss"
    RIP Mike. I'll miss you.

Beautifully said, and he really left his mark.

    Sorry you lost your friend.

Mike was truly an F440/500/600 OG. His cars changed the class and ruled for over a decade.
