Jay,
Long time. How's the build coming along? When will we see you on track?
Glenn
Hi Glenn,
It's been slow. We had a baby and between the two kiddos work time on the vee is limited to super late at night here and there. I've had to replace or rebuild just about everything in the front of the car including the occasional bolt extraction, lol. The last broken bolt nearly had me beat. Two snapped ez outs were a real pleasure to drill out. Finally got it last weekend. Drums will be on and hopefully I'll be hoisting the engine and transaxle in one unit in the next couple nights. At least it'll start to look like a vee :-)
How have you been?
Something that I have learned on my 45 years of working on cars and in a machine shop. It is much easier to drill out bolts than broken off EZ outs
Assuming access, I don't even bother with the EZ out stage. If you can center your initial drilled hole, it makes life much easier and you can often pick out the bolt remnants without damaging the female threads. Good luck with your project.

I believe you! I appreciate the advice and have zero interest in doing that again. I don't even wat to see an ez out again. I will be using permatex anti seize like an addict as well xD
Hello again, Jay.
So what's the update? Does the build continue? Or have dad-duties consumed you (understandably)?
Glenn
