I’d like to connect with Devin LeSueur, number 05 FC. Is he here? I was driving my PFM in Qualifying 2 on Friday on stickers and my rear slid out on me in carousel lap 2 and I spun. Devin apparently was behind me and his right rear somehow hit my right rear, taking me out for the weekend. I’d like to see his in-car video so I can learn from this. If he is not active here, if anyone knows him I would appreciate it if you would reach out to him. Pic of my car is below. My car number was changed to 171 for the weekend. Thank you.

Congratulations to Michael Varacins for two wins and a blistering lap of 2:11.9 just a tick off of the longstanding record. Tom Hope of CA and Bill Johnson rounded out the podium on Sunday. Results can be found with the following link:

Umm...according to the official results in race 1, Mike cranked out a 2:11.4 which should be a new track record.

I apologize to Michael if I was incorrect, I pulled up the existing records from the SCCA site which showed the following:
FC Race Lap Brian Tomasi Van Diemen/Ford 2:11.224 111.053 9/23/2011
FC Qualifying Gerald Szykulski Van Diemen DP08/Ford 2:10.218 111.911 2012
Regardless, Michael has it figured out and is flying!
Since the results don't show and I don't know who has what... any MZRs or Pintos in the group?
Those are seriously fast laps....I also remember Nikky Coello was in that range in that period. What was so special about 2011 and 2012 to produce those times? Earlier repaving?

I don't believe that any MZR's showed up but one was entered; there were one or two Pinto's from what I recall.
Bob - think that the times were quick back in 2010-12 because the track was rubbered in during Runoffs and the weather was just about perfect; the track had previously been repaved in 1995. The VD cars were running the low-slung rear wings to find top end, but I think that the young kid that ran the DB6/Pinto out of James Lee's shop had the fastest trap speeds and was a contender for the win. Coello was always fast on that track and I am sure he was right at the front as you note. I was surprised that they repaved the track as when I ran it in 2021 it seemed perfectly fine to me. That place holds up quite well to those cold WI winters!
The repave is incredibly smooth. Indycar and all the support series raced there a week earlier and they were all around 3 seconds faster than they were a year earlier. The cornering grip is unbelievable.
