Does anybody know if the sensor is a stock Ford Focus item?
Any tricks to gain access to replace?
Thanks!

Sorry don't remember about the sensor, but if you have to replace it - pull the motor. On my Mygale you can (with a special cut off hex key) undo the sensor clamp, but would never be able to get it out without cutting the electrical connector/cable.
Not a ford part.

I've heard of clever people R&R without pulling the motor.
From the pictures it looks like the sensor itself is clamped. 1 hex headed screw loosens it.
I suspect if the parts are identical, pushing the new sensor all the way in would maintain the same gap.
It can be done in a VD without pulling the motor- specially altered tools, a good dental mirror, and a lot of time. And... you have to know exactly how it comes out. I'd almost rather not.
Be very careful putting the new one in and clearance it properly.

I changed mine last year. Cut down hex set up mirror. And set up good led flash light and go long snap on 45 nedl
dle nose pliers it’s remote control can get ur hands in there jus be patient use long feller gage to set to 13 ths can do it now in 20 min e mail if u need more info
Having not done it, thanks for the info.
I made an assumption based on the bracket I saw and the way I'd install it.
The sensor had a shoulder on it and the bracket had slotted legs.
I would install the sensor fully into the bracket and then adjust the legs so there was no way it could make contact with the wheel.
But there are probably variances in the sensor housings and I'd screw it up. Two spares

The legs need to be removed to get the gap set to .020. Any sensor we sell comes with the legs removed and the proper mill spec plug to interface with the engine loom.
I think it ts a Magelli part That’s adapted to this use hence having to fit mount quicksiler told there were different mount s over the years. I had to sand mine done to fit the mount I also tighten just enough to still slide it as I use feller gauge and it stays. Then tighten
Just catching up with all of these replies. Thank you all very informative. not sure if that’s my problem yet but I didn’t want to take any chances.
I try to be the king of special tools, so I hope I can come up with something to remove it while on the car.
