Default Year end FFCS at Watkins Glen, Awards, BBQ, etc.....

Well, I guess it has to happen, the almost last race of the season. We've had a great enjoyable year. Clean, fast racing with little or no damage for anyone throughout the season. Most always, cars went on the trailer the same way they came off. The guys at the pointy end always driving fast and competitively but still keeping it clean as well. It CAN be done. The VRG and the FFCS series proves it.

Although our participant numbers have been down a bit over the season, the fun was always as good as it ever was.

A word on that for a moment. If we don't get Formula Ford participants to race, we're not guaranteed a Formula Ford only group.
As has happened at a previous race, we did not get the group numbers we were looking for and the venue was expecting. So they rolled the FF group in with "Wings and Slicks", The "Wings and Slicks" group are made up of much faster flat bottom Atlantic cars and S2's. We need you to come out and race with us or this combining of groups will continue. As of this writing, there are still 10 days before the early entry deadline, and that is August 13th. After that, you pay full price. Don't miss this opportunity to race at an historic venue and enjoy the camaraderie, food and festivities that make the FFCS and the Glen so special to racers.

Who won the ketchup last year anyway?......

This year the FFCS has had more supporters than ever. Hoosier, Pegasus, and a host of others giving away free stuff at every race and this weekend at the Glen is no different. But... ya gotta be there to win.

Please come and join us. In addition to all the regular festivities, the champagne, the wreaths, the ribbons, we will be holding our Annual Group Meeting (AGM) after the Feature race on Saturday and before the BBQ and awards . Everyone gets to contribute ideas on how we should keep the fun going forward and where we're we want to race next year. But again, we can't hear your voice if you're not there.
There are still rooms available in the area, call around. Who knows, you may stay in the same room Jim Clark or Mario Andretti stayed back in the F1 days.
