    Default Hoosier S vs R35B vs R55A

It looks like the older pfm tires (43333 and 43331) came in the softer R35B and firmer R55A compounds. https://www.hoosiertire.com/assets/C...e%207%2030.pdf

Which of the two do people tend to run? I assume softer.

Hoosier’s new catalog no longer has those two compounds. Instead the PFM tire (43362 and 43366) is only offered in S compound.https://www.hoosiertire.com/assets/2...compressed.pdf

S compound isn’t on any Hoosier compound chart. Does anyone know how it compares to the prior PFM compounds?

    Default

It looks like the S compound is equivalent to the R35B in durability, but gets up to temp faster.

    Default Hoosier tires

I think the car is faster on the F4 tires.43354 R55A and 43359 R55a.Hoosier is considering making the F4 tire in a S compound which would help for the early Jan and Feb races.Straight speed is much better with the above tires than with the old 43331 and 43333 tires. The new tire 43362 and 43366 are the improved version of the original tire.I have not tried them yet but I will this fall.
