    Default Truck tire pressure

Am I the only one that drives around all winter with the low pressure warning light lite on the dash. My pickup factory setting is 80 psi for the rear tires. You can't drive an pickup with nothing in the bed with 80 psi in the rear tires in New England if you want to get anywhere in the snow.

Have just come to expect the light to be on all winter and ignore it.

    My Suburban likes 60 psi.
Had a oil change and the tech set the tires at normal psi 35. I get in the truck and it is a light and buzzer show.
The tech argued that the pressure was set correct, he works elsewhere now.

Usually it goes off on one tire every time we have the first good snow storm and cold or my first trip to VT.

80/60? What? Is that what the door card says? Most vehicles are 36ish

Chevy dually 3500 door says 65psi under all conditions. Usually run 60psi as I do not load the bed. Use 65psi when towing.

No brand mentioned. I wonder if you found an independent shop with the right communication tools, they might be able to turn it off or reset it lower.

Pick a pressure that covers the load and enjoy a better ride and tire wear, Google load vs pressure for your tire size

Good luck on the light, just one more thing to worry about

Not necessarily. TPMS is a Federal Regulatory requirement since about 2008 MY. Most OEs don't like people messing with regulatory stuff in the field.

Because you can't fix it with WD-40......you'll need to use a small piece of black duct tape. You know where it goes.
