I have a 12V trouble light that I use to do as they suggested. And a 10amp battery charger that is voltage limited (got it in the Pulsar battery days) Doing it that way for decades and recovered more then a few batteries, thought to be gone.
I was using a 2amp charger at the track and it was always so slow.
Called Odyssey to see what the max amps the 680 could take on a charge. They said 20!

Mainly use the 8amp rate but I'm now thinking I should be using the 15.
Interesting battery recovery process.
My stand is it is cheaper to replace batteries every year than have issues.
