Default Wanted: Mk. 9 Rear Wing End Cover

I broke the wing mounts off of my Mk.9 end cover so now I'm looking for a replacement cover.

I could make an end cover without the wing mounts work too because Gary has kindly offered to trade me his end cover with wing mounts for one without wing mounts. Anyone have either kind laying on a shelf?

For reference here is the cover I'm looking for:

    Thanks!

    Default ebay?

There's something listed there that looks like it might be worth you're checking....

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/17454962872...kAAOSwpkpfzkGU

Said side cover for FV....looked like modified rear cover...looks different from yours...might not work.

    just passing info along.

    Default Welded?

I had an '87 Reynard that had a solid block of aluminum welded to a standard Hewland the rear cover as the wing mount.
Anyone have experience with this technique? Should I worry about the cover distorting when welding?

    Default Welded

The current cover on my Reynard started life as a standard Hewland Mk9 cover with two horizontal round blocks welded to the back to serve as the wing mount. The cover was distorted and leaking when I acquired the car, but it was nothing that a couple of minutes and a lapping table could not fix. I do not know if the distortion was due to the welding, or the wing load for which the cover was not originally designed for.
