For Sale 2010/2011 Honda Piper DF5

    Make: Piper
    Model: DF5
    Car Year: 2010/2011
    Class: FF
    Condition: Very Good
    Roller or Turnkey: Turnkey

    History:

I'm the third owner of this very well equipped Piper which was built with the Honda in 2010 and first raced in 2011. I've tuned on this quite a bit which has resulted in many race wins, 3 track records (HPR, Hallett & Eagles Canyon) and no crash damage since I've had the car. It's a fast, reliable, comfortable car to drive ready for it's first race on a fresh Quicksilver rebuild. Lots to talk about but just hitting the high points here. Please ask if you have specific questions.

    Features, Specs & Options

    • Fresh Quicksilver rebuild - dyno time only with new clutch plate
    • LD200 Hewland gear box with many spare gear sets
    • Penske double adjustable gas shocks, serviced by Performance Shocks, Inc.
    • Cold air intake and box
    • Less than a season on all new suspension rod ends
    • Front and rear cockpit adjustable anti-roll bars
    • Cockpit brake bias adjustment
    • Poured seat (may work for you?)
    • Front shock pre-load adjuster
    • AP Racing aluminum brake calipers
    • Shrouded oil cooler with fresh air intake
    • AIM display and data acquisition system with multiple sensor systems
    • 4 sets of alloy wheels
    • Trailer wheels and tires
    • Spare nose
    • Spare radiator
    • Full set of spare suspension pieces with rod ends
    • Spare uprights and lots of other new Fast Forward hardware (pic coming)
    • 5th shock setup (not installed)
    • Rear undertray (not installed, lighter and faster without it)
    • Spare spring sets
    • Numerous suspension shims
    • rain tires, never used, mounted
    • Fast Forward Piper set up bars and flags for easy track-side adjustments
    • Piper cockpit surround
    • Nitrogen bottle and regulator (for shocks)
    • Fuel testing valve/siphon
    • Spare wheel nuts
    • Belts need renewal

The car is in Colorado but can be shipped anywhere and I can deliver it free between Denver and the LA/San Fran area at the end of April/early May if a quick sale can be made.

    Asking $47k

Listing this cars' condition as "very good" is a severe underestimation. IMHO it's way above VG. About as close to excellent as you'll ever find in a car that's been raced at all. While I haven't driven this car myself, I do know it's fast, and pretty sure you can just replace the belts and go racing. Also, I doubt you'd ever find a better person to do business with than the seller.

Default New Price, getting much more motivated

I'm making a concerted effort to reduce my level of "stuff" and would like to see someone get this out and race it. So, I'm dropping the price to $35K OBO. It's still sitting with a dyno time only Honda Fit engine and is ready to race this season.
