    Default Trim Fit Racing Suit?

Can any lister recommend a racing suit that comes in 'trim fit' sizing? I am 6ft tall, 165lb, with a long inseam. The Sparco suit (size 58) that fit me OK at 190lb now seems to have yards of extra material, but is just barely tall enough.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

Default Trim Fit - custom tailor in NY

    Hi John,

We understand... My driver (Joby Graham) is 6' 2" and his racing weight is approx. 185 lbs; he has long arms and legs, so "off-the-rack" suits that accommodate his limbs usually have too much volume through the body. We've been racing mostly FFs since 1976, and Joby & I have had three suits custom-made by Victor at VAS Enterprises on Long Island in New York.

According to the SFI foundation web site,
    http://www.sfifoundation.com/manuf.html

Victor's phone number is #631-841-1846. The suits have been competitively priced and each one has lasted an amazingly long time with simple machine washing (no bleach, turn inside-out, hang to air dry).

We live close enough to go see Victor, bring him our colored sketches, get measured and see fabric samples & customization ideas, but I suggest giving him a call. Quite a few drivers here in the Northeast use VAS suits.

    Good Luck & Good Racing,

    Default trim fit racing suit

We sell Design 500 uniforms (Lady Eagle for women) because they are custom built to your measurements and feature materials (like CarbonX) that others do have.
