    does it have to be 12"? I know a lot of people run too long of a spring, and get it coil bound. I run shorter ones, and just move the spring perch down... so if you can do that, I get mine from HRP. I haven't seen any better prices for them elsewhere.

    Thank you for all of the suggestions. We have reached out to a few companies. It looks like we will probably end up going with something shorter.

    A 2.25" spring of that length is very unstable and likes to bow sideways and rub against the shock body, creating a lot of friction. More than likely you can use a 9 inch spring, which Hyperco makes.

    I've got the following (new in the box) Hyperco springs on the shelf in the basement:

    2.25"ID X 9" X 150 lbs (2 pairs)

    2.25"ID X 8" X 150 lbs (1 pair)

    $50.00 / pair shipped (lower 48). Discounts for multiple pairs.
