    Default current event silence discipline

    Doug don't be mad....
My admiration comes to fellow racers
to keep their **** cool and not spilling obvious frustration over current situation in the world and country on to this forum.

    Good job..

I agree 100%. Personally, I can easily get sucked into heated discussions. It is fantastic to have such a great web site that never goes there.

Personally, I'm happy not to know if the person I'm talking to and who's giving me good racing info is also a radical one-side-or-the-other activist. To paraphrase the one guy who wanted to play football in "The Longest Yard," I just wanna go racing.

Now, "political" discussions over spec tires, that's OK...

There’s a specific sub-forum on the main forum I frequent to discuss *everything but racing.* it absolutely works and keeps out poli-nonsense. From that, the racing sub-fora stay remarkably clean of it.

For me personally, when I read crap here, I do respond. I’ve had it with the endless “Right to hate” some do claim. Screw them.

Thankfully, there’s only a limited few here that love to throw out the bait, and it brings down entire threads — and surely stresses readers whether we acknowledge that or not. One admits to “loving being a troll.” It should be dealt with, for the good of the entire forum.

    Happy 2021 to All.

Hating the haters makes you a hater, no?

It's like my growing intolerance for the intolerant.

The only thing I hate are people who are intolerant of other people's cultures.

    And the Dutch.

    I don't get it.

I do appreciate the civility here. One of the forums I visit has a section devoted to politics and religion....it is generally a waste of time but I do see a good idea there from time to time.

Instead of putting a 'like' on every single post in this thread, I'll just chime in (oooooh...craaaap)

Just to agree with the fact that MOST of us out here keep politics & world issues off this forum (take it to social media, where it belongs...and usually begins) and when it DOES start here, it's almost always called-out and eradicated swiftly.

Kudos to the Carters & the forum moderators.
