Default VARA 2005 Season Opening Event - California Speedway January 28-30

The Route 66 Classic - Vintage Road Races

Dear Vintage FF and Club Ford Racer,

Welcome to the most incredible season opening event in Southern California!

We start our 2005 season of racing at the beautiful California Speedway, Fontana, California. As a tradition for VARA, the public is always invited to attend our race weekends. This year, our event will be benefiting the Diamond Bar Rotary and other local charities.

VARA is pleased to feature three special extras for the weekend:

Historic Champ and Indy Cars from all eras of open wheel racing. A special thanks to Victory Lane and Oval Racing Magazine for their support and making this portion of our weekend happen!

USRRC - You will have the opportunity to race in the annual USRRC Senior Tour, sponsored by Victory Lane Magazine (production cars from the original USRRC era)

Pacific Formula 2000 Series. This is the 2005 season opening event for the professional Formula Continental race series.

Our season opening event would not be possible without the support of our generous sponsors. VARA sincerely thanks Tuttle Click Automotive Group and Valvoline. If it was not for the support of our sponsors, we could not do what we do.

    COURSE CONFIGURATION
Our course configuration will be the long (2.95 mile) Grand-Am road course, using a portion of the oval and the entire infield road-course.
