I've only see one chassis plate on a Zink. I seem to recall that Steve Lathrop told me that they didn't put chassis numbers on the cars.

I had a Z18-B.
The chassis was stamped Z18B-03 on the face of the cross member below the main roll hoop, facing into the engine bay.
The same number was noted in the log book as well.

I had two Zink's in the 70's and still have one of them. There is not a number as far as I know.
I will have to look at the car I bought for parts. It came without a logbook and someone replaced the rear hoop and added a front hoop but without the logbook I have no info on the car. I have bodywork sitting outside and before the sun faded it there was a tech sticker from New Jersey event if I remember it was in 2016. When I get around to removing all of the vw stuff and any thing else I want the car will be for sale as a slider.

The car I have has a 1/2" tube between the 1x2" that goes up the sides and the dash/front hoop attached to them. There is no stamping on the chassis that I could see and with the rear hoop being replaced I haven't found any marks or stamping of chassis or log book #s.
