Printer for XP Computer

Asking for an old racer friend. Lets say he raced an Argo. Anyway he is trying to find a new printer that will talk to and work with Windows XP. Any Suggestions?

If he has a USB port it should work, but I would stick with HP as you can find legacy drivers. Software not single cell drivers

If all he wants is black and white, tell him to find an HP 2100 Laserjet. I have 2 here that originally worked off of some Macs back in the mid-'80's, then W95 on up through W8. Very reliable, and the cartridges last damned near forever - especially compared to the cartridges for more current printers. He should be able to find them on ebay for $100 or so.

If he gets one, tell him to stick with genuine HP toner cartridges. No, they ain't cheap, but they last for years.

The HP DeskJet 3755 comes with Windows XP drivers (SP3 or higher). If he wants a color inkjet.
