    Default Late VanDiemen question?

Looking for answers to a stupid late model VD question.

Where do the lap belts mount? There are 2 mounts on each side of the frame, one ahead of the other. Which one is used for the lap belt mount and which for the sub belts? Any info appreciated!

    Much thanks,
    Eddie

It depends on where you're sitting, but in general the lap belt will be further back and sub belts either the same anchor or slightly ahead.

I don't own a VD. However, the set up appears to offer you flexibility. On my Reynard, the lap and sub share the same mounting point. The approach I would take is to sit in the car and determine which mounting point is optimal for the lap belt. If it is the forward mount, then I would assume both get mounted there. If the rear works for the lap, you could mount the sub forward.

Yes, I prioritized lap belt position so I could be as low and comfortable as possible. I think I actually put the sub straps on the middle hole so that they all had their own bolt. (Note - I'm 5' 6". A taller person with longer legs may need the lap belt farther back)

On a Vandiemen the lap belts go on the furthest back hole and then the leg straps go in front.
