    Our sort of racing depends so much on Newtonion mechanics -

    - so at a time like this it is interesting to note that apparently Isaac Newton
    developed his theories of gravity and motion while confined to his own home
    during the Great Plague. A few years ago now.

    Also, while he was in isolation, Mathematician Theodore Kaczynski completed more than 16 successful technical projects and wrote a 35 thousand word essay that was published in the New York Times.
