    Default Machining for Rotax Taper

    Hey guys.

Looking to convert a 440 to a 593, and one of my obstacles is getting my Polaris P-85 primaries machined to a Rotax Taper.

Does anyone have any drawings or resources to point to?

I tried calling Mike Quadrini and left a voicemail about cost/lead-time/information, haven't heard back yet.

Entertaining any replies on the subject, thanks.

Do not waste your money. Just buy new parts. You will need them anyway!

What do you recommend? Comet? Part#?

What are anyone's recommendations at this point - trying to move a project along.

1.375" Roll Hoop front and rear.

I have been autocrossing it but am trying to go road racing without being slower than an FV.

Been around this class for over 30 years and yes he could remachine the taper and rebuild the clutchs for as much money as new parts but they will still be junk compared to the newer parts!
How much money and time does a DNF COST?

So my advice is still the same as b4. Of course he gets to make his own decisions based on his needs and requirements.
