    Default Horst Kwech

    Horst kwech passed away last week. He was best known for his deives in the Trans Am series but he also constructed and drove many sports racers and formula cars durring his lifetime.

    That’s sad news. I remember back several years ago, a newbie driver came out to a Midwestern Council drivers school with a Tiga FF, (the Walter Payton car) that he just finished restoring. He was a Carl Haas employee and worked on the Champ Car team. He and his one man crew were struggling with foam from the fuel cell clogging up the fuel lines. His assigned instructor, a professional auto mechanic, Scott Reif, was making suggestions as to how to clear it up, when his crew calmly handed him his business card. It was no other than Horst Kweck. Scott decided right there that his help wasn’t needed.
