    Default F - 1 to go electric?

My business news this morning had a report from the Formula One organization that said they will be carbon neutral by 2030. Does this mean total electric F-1 cars without those great engine sounds of the past? If so I won't be watching.

IOW the cars themselves represent 0.7% of the carbon footprint for the entire F1 operation. Not much to be gained making them all-electric.
    Caldwell D9B - Sold
    Crossle' 30/32/45 Mongrel - Sold
RF94 Monoshock - here goes nothin'

    Good article, Thanks.

My take wasn't "electric power plants" so much as developing carbon-neutral, *internal combustion* engines. So whatever pollution they create is offset by things that help the environment elsewhere.

But Dammit, make sure those carbon-neutrals are V12s!

And in order to reduce their carbon footprint, all teams will travel by sailing vessel to the events. Overland travel will be by horse drayage. Anything to keep the cars gas-powered.
