Default FC PRS 83SF - Looking for information & pictures

Hi, I have been directed to the FC section from Formula F section as I am looking for help with my PRS 83SF project car.

Firstly I a based in the UK but it seems that the are far more PRS Formula Fords running in North America than the UK/Europe, certainly there seem to be none of the 80's 'F' or 'SF' series of cars over here, only 70's 'RH' cars. That's why I have joined Apex speed.
The car I have bought appears to be a very unloved 83SF that was modified to run in Formula 4 in the 90's, my aim is to return it to original F2000 specification.

I would love to see any pictures of PRS cars anyone has, somebody over here told me a PRS raced in US FF2000 around 2001-2002.

The areas of the car that have been modified are; the bodywork (replaced with some Van Diemen stuff), the front suspension/uprights (again VD pats bodged on) and possibly the Roll Hoop. So I would be really interested I anyone has any parts, moulds or jigs for those areas. A body top section would be top of my list. I would also like to try to identify the chassis number as well if anyone knows of any records of the cars in the US

This is the car in question: https://racecarsdirect.com/Advert/De...mula-ford-2000

    Thankyou for your help, Cal

Hi Cal - hope the following link works:

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/alansart/4102144031/

PRS F2000 in 1985, which appears to be quite Van Diemen-esque in some ways. The picture's not great but it does appear to have rocker front end, from the line of the bodywork around the top pivots.

There is a PRS 82F rebuild thread here:

    https://www.apexspeed.com/forums/sho...?85046-Prs-82f

Unless the 83 PRS car was completely different from their 82, the front chassis looks very like a Van Diemen RF82 - narrower rockers, 3-hole steel reinforcement plate across the upper footwell tubes, etc. The 82 PRS has the steering rack behind the rockers, where yours has it in front (also same as the RF82).

Found this - Sergio Rinland's consultancy site (he designed for PRS at the time) and it shows a photo of the 83SF in its original form!
