    Default transmission question LD200

My LD200 gear box spews out gear oil when I open the right handed side plug, It pulsates. I know it might have been slightly overfilled several months ago. I have attempted to drain it, but it pours out. If the vent tube that goes into the catch can is blocked from the trans case will it do this because the case is under pressure.?
    Anyone have experience with this?
    Thanks

Does it do this only when the car is running? If that is the case I would not be too concerned because there is a lot of agitation of the gear lube going on.

If it does this when the car has been shut off for a few minutes, I would be concerned unless you drain it and find it to be way overfilled.

Make certain that the vent is open before doing anything.

Not knowing what car you have could there be a leak between the engine reservoir and the gear box causing engine oil to siphon into the box?

    Just some food for thought.

If it is running.. it is most likely oil being slung off the gears . That hole is pretty much centerline on the lay shaft
The box should only have 1.5 qt in it ,
If it is blowing it out with car shut off and still warm from running . it will be a blocked vent either at the top of the case of the rear cover;.
