I have a 1970 Caldwell D9 which I vintage race and hillclimb and I think I may be required to update to current SCCA roll bar specs. Does anyone have any experience with this conversion or know someone they could recommend in the Mid- Atlantic states. I'm located in northeastern NC.

See the pics of Bud Morrison's D9b that were on Racecars.com for some ideas. Did this one about 6 years ago. Front hoop is 1.38 and forward braces of 1.00" with minimal bodywork mods. Also re plumbed the side pipes under the 'glass and took the water out of the frame (a good idea on an old car). Fit some bent gussets to the upper rails to rivet side panels to so not to drill into the original tubes. (for the purest who may want to revert to the water in tube idea)
