Default 2011 Vortech FV with spares (8 total race weekends)

Finally a decision on my future of racing a Vee. Not happening for me

Car is for sale. Now 9 races on the car since new (2011).

New ATL fuel cell November 2018
1.26 BRM short box drum to drum (in car now) 1 race old
1.22 LRE short box drum to drum older but works well
Rebuilt bare 1.26 short box (center section)
6 spec tires 2 stickers and 4 with 3 sessions
    13 wheels
3 nose (2 perfect and painted, one needs repair)
1 older Noble motor complete carb to clutch (needs rebuild)
1 older Autowerks with local rebuild (runs pretty strong) carb to clutch (in car now)
    2lbs Anti Gravity battery
Penske shocks -Triple rear, single adjustable red Fronts
CDS data system but using it basically as just a dash (missing steering, shock, throttle sensors)

Also a bunch of new spares, drums, gaskets, plugs, slave cylinder, bearings and the like.

The only negative things on the car is the data system is missing sensors and CDS does not support the system. The Noble motor although ran well when last used needs a rebuild. The last sort of negative thing is the fire system it was built with is bulky. It is a foam CO2 powered unit that is big, but I kept it because it is user serviceable. I also did open up the body work around the cockpit to try to get in and out easier.

    $13.5

    Thanks
    Darren

Here are a few pictures of some of the spares. Not pictured are all the wheels. Some with new tires from this year (not that it matters with the spec tire).

I have have been asked about a transponder, I am not sure if the car will come with one or not. Plan on no transponder unless I end up not needing it.

Thank you Cliff. You have always set the bar very high for level of prep. My 8 year old loves cleaning the car so that helps me out a bunch.

Car is no longer for sale. I had some pretty good ideas for a better fit in the car and everything is coming together.

    thanks

DOK is legit. that is Don O'Keefe.... he is a newer guy out of Indy with a Vortech as well. he has been looking for a 2nd car/parts/etc.

Thanks for the info on DOK. The way the reply was very unusual, I guess I should not be to suspect of everyone. His PM came in right after the one from Cordell so I was already suspicious.

Either way I decided to keep the car. Sorry for the confusion on DOK / Don.

Bought another car and don't like keeping one car in the trailer (always afraid someone might steal my trailer).

Some folks asked about selling as a roller, at this time not really what I want to do. I would be more willing to assist with shipping or drop the price a bit to sell as a package.

    Thanks
    Darren

    Hi Cliff,

Well I was looking at these very reasonably priced continentals around and also some older fords. Then instead bought a street car . So that took the Vee's spot in the garage. I only did 3 races in a year and a half and did not have that much fun.

I am going to revisit racing at the first of the year and see what cars are available. Hopefully I can thin down a bit and would love to get back into a ford powered Van Diemen.
