    Default Baku spoiler?

I've seen some bonehead moves by tracks and regions, but this deal at Baku was something else. Especially the "bridge incident" after the on track snafu.

It's not like this was a first year for the event. Do the organizers reimburse Claire the the car?

I believe that HAAS was able to file a claim with the tracks insurance when the same thing happened a few years ago (different track) likely be the same case here.

To me the surprise is that the FIA hadn't made sure they were welded down. This isn't exactly the first time this has occurred at a Grand Prix. It has happened at others including Monaco just 3 years ago.

Ever seen the video of the marshals dropping the priceless M23 McLaren off the crane at the Monaco Historics a few years back?

I must say, this is absolutely the worst track on the entire F1 calendar. What a goat rodeo. I hate watching races at this place.

    Default Worst Corner

...and they have the worst corner in F1, just so they can have a camera shot of the cars driving by a "Castle"...

Qualifying only backs up my point. Over an hour of combined Red Flag time

They better move a stockpile of crash barriers to the castle corner before tomorrow. I'm going to bump out the DVR an extra hour to accommodate red flags.

Look at it this way, nobody has an excuse to argue "track limits".

The man hole cover & truck hitting the bridge were obviously bone head moves I agree

As for the track I actually think it is one of the best on the calendar. There are passing sections on a real street course for a change & extremely tight corners that will bite you like the Castle corner. Some of the more interesting races have been run at this track & tomorrows is shaping up to be the same way. F1 drivers are supposedly the best in the world, this track challenge some of their talent.

The course is defiantly not what I would call a safe course, but I don’t know many street courses that are. Doing 340 km per on the straight coming down to the finish line would be scary if a couple cars got together before the brake zone.

A painted line should NEVER be a track limit. Track Limits need to be self policing - exceed them and damage happens.

And the 'straight' has several bends in it.

I really hope that race is more exciting to watch in person...
