From this point forward I am going to have free access to a nice chassis dyno and I wanted to put my Formula Ford on it to do some tuning.

Seeing that those barrels are very heavy and with their massive inertia to get them started has anyone had problems getting the tires rolling with a racing clutch?

This summer when I drove the car the first time the tilton race clutch was very jumpy as expected. It is either you stall out or you are blasting off. You can't ease it out like a stock clutch as you all know. It could probably be done but I hate slipping it very much though it kind of tough to slip with the spring that is on it.

So has anyone had any problems getting rolling on a chassis dyno? Since the tires aren't going to spin on the dyno I am just wonder how hard the fast engagement is going to be on the transmission.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Chris
