Default Looking For a Club Ford

After getting all excited again about Club Formula Ford at the ARRC I'm thinking I should look more seriously for a good car. To make up for my lack of talent it needs to have a strong motor and be a late-ish CF legal car. There are a few on here but not local that I've noticed.
    Thanks!

The prices on that website seem high to me. Also, I believe there is a Z 16 in Vermont for sale as we speak.

The Crossle 40/45F's are great cars (I own a 45F) and you can call Neil Porter and order any part you may need! Zinc Z10C, Z16 and Van Diemen RF81's are also fine race cars.

    Cheers, Joe

Agree about most of the prices, but they are only asking prices. The 84 Van Diemen may be worth more than that asking price, but there's not much information. Some of the cars on Apexspeed may seem far away, but there is often someone near them who can look them over for you.
    Caldwell D9B - Sold
    Crossle' 30/32/45 Mongrel - Sold
RF94 Monoshock - here goes nothin'

I have a 1980 Z16 that has been completely rebuilt. Dyno time only on engine. $12,500. Car is in Conn. I am retiring from racing.

No plans for me to run, this is a car a customer has had in his collection for years. He has decided it is time to let some of the cars he doesn't use go to homes that hopefully will.

I'd take a serious look at that VD on here in Baltimore. I'd buy it myself if I wasn't up to my eyeballs already with two car projects.

I have noticed that car - I just couldn’t live with the chassis, exhaust, gearbox colors. Just my personal preference.

...I’m not a buyer for that car but MAN... I bet it’d be sold already with a different color combo...

Is Knoxville TN close enough? My RP31 doesn't deserve to be a garage queen. Chip Bailey was the previous owner

The bad: It would need some freshening as it's been sitting in garage with a dehumidifier for a while. Belts out of date. Oil reservoir does not want to stay attached to the chassis so it would need re-engineered and build a better attachment. Front tie rods I would not trust for road racing. It was pulled out of a gravel trap the race before I purchased it bending tie rod. The replacements were built a bit too light weight. It does not have the redesigned front uprights that JRII ran on his. Probably a few other tid bits I'm not remembering right now.

The good: Sam Nelson engine. Hytech Headers. Tilton starter. James Lee rebuilt the trans with aluminum diff, has 10/31 final. Presently has integral 1st installed as I was autocrossing and never got around to road racing it. box full of gears. Have spare nose and one side, spare trans case, spare long block with CCH head and carbs that hasn't been turned over for 25ish years? (that may or may not be a plus) Joe Stimola rebuilt the Ohlins shocks last (yes, it's been a while) Various sets of springs and everything else CFF related I can find around the house and garage.

On hard tires it handled beautifully, very progressive and predictable but not so well on super stickies where it became unpredictable. I parked it to do the frame stiffening. Then life happened and haven't got around to do a thing to it. It still has the factory 5th spring between main hoop and transmission. Chip put on the steel floor pan. Has set of Revolution and set steel rims with 2.5" back space and a set of Panasports with the DB1 3.25"? backspace. Uses lug nuts not the center locks. Brakes are LD20 front LD19 rear. $11k and I definitely could deliver it all to the Rd Atl area. Can send any pictures you need. Open to negotiations. especially if you have an F600 project.

    Default Reynard and Hawke

I’ve got two projects- a roller Reynard the first FF they made and also a 1971 Hawke DL9 with engine and trans etc. the Hawke has log books back to day one- it was modified and set up for club Ford- need to finish the rear uprights to make if vintage FF (or keep it as is for way less money.

both cars are in Indianapolid. Paul. Pjoyaux@rmbcap.com

I have no vested interest in this car other than knowing the owner, raced with him and know the car to be well prepared.
