    Default Fuel Filler?

Another discovery for my Vintage FF was a missing fuel filler neck. It only had a blanking plate with a vent hose plumbed. Any ideas where I can get the filler neck assy?

As you can see from this picture, there are only 6 mounting holes. Worst cases:
    1. Fill using the vent hose with an electric pump, then re-connect the vent hose or
    2. Find an old filler neck from someone with an old tank.

    Garey,

Some cars, like early to mid 90's Van Diemens had the fuel filler neck on the other side of the firewall, near the front of the engine.

There must be more to it than we see.....more data.

Have you taken the bladder out and see if it has another removable plate? A fuel out spigot on the bottom maybe?

Also you need a fill tube and non vented cap. A vent line with a check valve.

    Lastly, I suggest a good look inside...aftrer all....its a teenager.

I talked to a previous owner and he assures me that it had a filler. The previous owner hasn't replied to any email so I'm just moving on.

You can see from the aluminum cover that a provision was cut out for the filler neck. Just need to get a replacement. It's possible I'll need to replace the cell so maybe getting a neck is premature. Taking the cell out will hopefully happen this week. More will be discovered as I continue going through it.

WIth that serial number, Fuel Safe should be able to tell you what fuel filler came with it. But you are right, a close inspection of the cell is necessary.
