    Default Engine coolant

I currently use Prestone 50/50 but was wondering if there are any other recommendations that would work better.

Distilled water and redline water wetter. Engine will run cooler than water/antifreeze.

Unless you are running autocross, antifreeze isn't usually welcome at road courses.

Should I worry about the water pump if I use water wetter?

I use Water Wetter in both my race car and in my classics. Never had a problem.

..and the consequences for the people behind you in case of a leak (or even a simple overflow) are far less severe.

I personally am glad you were not running coolant this past weekend

It is against the rules to run coolant in our series. Water wetter is okay. You are putting people's lives at risk behind you by running coolant

By that premise, we should be banning engine and gear oil too!

    Rob,

Water wetter has a water soluble lubricant for the water pump seal.

Well, I'd vote for that if there were a superior alternative.

    Default Valvoline Pro-V Super Coolant

Valvoline apparently just reintroduced this, which was discontinued 10 years back or so. I've been using a supply of this I bought ~15 years ago since then, and it's the best coolant additive I've tried.
