Rather that spend $230 to replace an Intercomp load cell, is there any option to have it rebuilt?

Gents;
I have an Intercomp load cell that needs to be stripped down, rewired and resealed. A replacement is $220, but I should think one can be rebuild for less. Any help?

I don't know what type load cell Intercomp supplies. Assuming it is a strain gage type, then no it would not be less expensive to repair unless it was just a broken wire. All depends upon what the problem is with it. Typical strain gages fail from overload (the metal is bent beyond return), broken bond between the metal and gage, or broken internal connections. Usually good for a paper weight at that point. Cost of repair typically exceeds the price of new.
