Default Are beadlocks necessary for my car?

I am getting wider rims, 8", and running Hoosier R25B tires. My pressure will be between 10 and 14 psi.

Are beadlocks necessary in my application?

    Thanks

Auto cross- not necessary in my opinion. You can always use the old dirt track technique of screws into the outside rear beads.
Might want to build a big motor if you want to kick the rear end out .

    Default Tire screwing not necessary

In autocross, the tire load are not as high road racing, so any tire screwing or bead locking is not necessary and probably would not be desirable for a number of reasons.

One thing you will want to do is to mark where the inflation valve is on the tire to determine if the tire moves/rotates in relationship to the wheel. I have seen some movement in road racing, but not in autocross. Any time/wheel relative movement could eventually lead to balance issues, but any movement I have seen has been less than a inch max, so even the balance would not be affected by such a small change. It is a good thing to monitor, regardless of how you use the car.

    Default Tire locks

Been running 8" and 10" with R25B's for 10 years, probably more.
    Never had that problem.
    But I never checked.
FWIW, however, I would run larger rims and tires at the rear or oversteer will likely be an issue.
