Default Freedom from the AMB shackles

I was looking over SE Composites transponder on Ebay, and next to it on the site was a transponder from an alternative company - Westhold, - right in Denver.

All a club needs to do is add their decoder ($3K) in parallel to the AMB decoder and run their software (free) and voila! - both of the transponders are timed and we are free of the AMB shackles.

So it's $3K, I get it, but that's the price of seven old transponders....

    Their transponders - $150-$200.

The question is, why aren't clubs jumping on this?

Does this product fully integrate with AMB to produce results?

I don't have the specific response with me on this PC, but I asked that specific question, and what they have is a version of their decoder that accepts inputs from the AMB decoder and merges data from the two systems. That way they get around the proprietary nature of the AMB system - because the data isn't proprietary. The software to run it is free.

I've already contacted them and invited a representative to any of our RMDiv events to make a presentation.

This is great news. I'd rather pay into a fund for the club to free itself from AMB/Mylaps than pay Mylaps.
