Default 20’ Pace Shadow "STACKER" tag trailer/Rexxon alum. elevator

    ******SOLD**SOLD**SOLD******
    For sale by original owner>
Unique 20’ Pace Shadow white tag trailer, heavily optioned & custom ordered on November 2004 for use as a stacker trailer with an aluminum Rexxon Formula Car/Sports Racer elevator.
Tows like a dream, compact transport for tight driveways and even tighter paddocks!
Fairly low mileage…been sitting for the past 3 years, and we are local SoCal racers typically averaging only 5-6 race weekends/year. We did go to the Runoffs in Topeka 1x, otherwise only SoCal tracks.

    Only 99” tall (exterior height)!
    79" interior height
    81” between wheel boxes
    96” interior width
    19’ 7” interior floor length
    Two 5,000 lb tandem axles
Reese weight distribution hitch w/built-in cam-style anti sway
    Aluminum 6 lug wheels
    Spare tire & wheel
Maxxis 225x75x15, “D” rated tires, near new tread, about 4 yrs old, & I’ve always used tire covers when stored.
All wheel electric brakes, serviced about 500 miles ago.
    Polished SS front corners
    All LED running/brake/clearance lighting
TWO! 48” man doors (one on each side so you can work out of either side of the trailer)
2 Exterior GFI 110v outlets (one on each side)
2 Interior 110v wall outlets (one on each side)
1 Interior 110v ceiling outlet (for reel mount cords)
2 Interior 110v dual tube fluorescent fixtures
    2 Interior 12v incandescent fixtures
30a breaker box & 25’ shore power cable
    1 x 14x14” vent/hatch
    White aluminum walls
    White vinyl ceiling
    Diamond plate floor & ramp
    12 Factory installed recessed D-rings
Factory installed recessed E-track on floor
All 3 interior walls lined with 2 rows of E-track on every wall
2 “basement” compartments, approx. 3’ x 3’ x 1’ (spare tire in one of them, but plenty of room around it for storage)
3,000lb winch installed on factory winch plate
    Aluminum organizer on curbside door
    Aluminum 2 helmet rack/suit hanger
2 aluminum 2 fuel jug holders (4 jug capacity)
5 aluminum tie down strap holders
    2 aluminum cord/hose holders
    Funnel holder w/ funnel
    Fire extinguisher mount on door
Craftsman “roll away” tool box included
This trailer was also optioned with removable Pingle motorcycle floor mounts, enough for 4 bikes (only enough room for bikes if the elevator is removed though)
    Also included with trailer>
    10 pcs E-track D-rings
    8 pcs E-track straps
Optima yellow battery w/5’ leads and 50 amp plug, used to operate lift, winch, & lights
Aluminum Rexxon Formula Car/Sports Racer elevator, 12v
Elevator only weighs about 500 lbs
    Have all original instruction sheets
We carried two SCCA Sports 2000’s with spares, 1 set extra wheels each, and 1 spare nose each.
Will accept almost any Formula car also (FV,FF,FC, & ?)
Can also be used for 1 car + a quad….. or even more spares. This elevator lets you use the entire volume of the trailer that is normally wasted space above the car.
    Downsides>
Some typical scuffing of the walls from use
1 clearance light is not lighting
1 aluminum wheel is ever-so-slightly not the exact same as the other 3 wheels (you probably wouldn’t have noticed it unless I mentioned it)
1 “ding” in the pass side exterior lower wall, rear of wheels (car backed into it while at a gas station)
1 “ding” in the driver’s side upper corner, on the polished stainless steel (tree branch came down on it while parked!)
A few more typical dings here and there, and a few minor paint scrapes from EZ ups and such.

Turnkey trailer w/ elevator> $10,000 with WD hitch assy, Craftsman toolbox, E-track & E-track hardware, and many of “pit-pal” style accessories (of various brands)….well over $1,000 of extras AND the hard to find elevator. This is a really sweet way to haul (or even just store) 2 Formula cars or Sports Racers. My racing days are over, and this is all I have left (other than some GREAT memories!).

    Default How tall?

    Yo BRUCE!!!!

How tall is the roll hoop on a DB2 as compared to say...a proper formula car like a DB1?

Seriously, though. Those S2s look really short in total height. Wondering if you could fit two FFs in there?

    Brad
Go that way, really fast. If something gets in your way, turn.

    Hey Brad!

I suppose that if you wanted to race a car with more drag, less power, and too little downforce, you could do that....

I don't have an S2 to measure anymore, but since both vehicles have the driver sitting in the same position, with the same relative distance off the ground, I would expect roll bar height to be very similar for any FF/FC/S2/P1/P2 car.

Do you have a curb weight on the trailer with the included bits and pieces?

I've never put it on a scale, but the empty trailer (according to documented email w/dealer) should be 3530 lbs. before options. Shipping weight of the elevator was 500 lbs., so with 2 x 5,000 lb axles the payload is pretty good.

Thanks. To clarify, I am not worried about the capacity of the trailer but the ability of my under-powered tow vehicle to move it all.

So, presumably you're not running 2 cars if your tow vehicle is as described?

The elevator can be unbolted from the trailer floor and used in a workshop for added storage using the same floor space....that is, if you're not gonna' buy my F350.

DJ's question above got me thinking (always dangerous!)....if Rexxon actually is out of business, then by the power vested in me by the SCCA, I declare my Rexxon lift invaluable and irreplaceable!

Maybe I should market this as a "Rexxon aluminum formula car lift...with attached 20' custom trailer!"

Ok, enough of my odd humor....this unique stacker/trailer remains for sale.

Very tempting ... what RV were you towing with in your pic? Diesel or gas, and any issues? I have Sprinter-based RV to tow and may be at limit of CGVW. Thanks.

    Hi Sherman,

I pulled it with this truck & camper, which I just sold>

    http://www.apexspeed.com/forums/show...TS-of-upgrades!

I don't know the Sprinter's limits, so I cannot comment. My rig didn't even know the trailer was there unless we were at altitude or a steep climb.

    Cheers,
    Bruce

    Default Stacker trailer

    Hello,

Is this still available. With a Vee on top what would the max room under lift be. Any info would be helpful. What I am really getting at is would a Smart car fit under it.

    Thanks

No way for a sedan to fit....please note the photos showing a tight squeeze for 2 open cockpit cars.

OR to take your FV (above or below) and fill the typically unused space in the trailer with more gear, spares, or a quad. It's really a versatile trailer!

    Cheers,
    Bruce
