Alright I looked for it, couldn’t find it.
In the fit book, it tells you to clip on to the ‘service loop’, Which is eliminated on the HPD harness. Do you just hook on to the main harness anywhere? I’m getting a reading, just not sure if it’s right?

Really?
Nobody knows how to time this motor? I’m just trying to get verification before I take it apart and check the cam.
Help me out here!
Tim
Sorry, no experience there. I’ve never had to check or adjust ignition timing, as it is all controlled through the ECU.
I have had the head off for a valve job and the cam timing is straight forward by lining up mark on the cam sprocket, timing chain and crank sprocket, as described in the Honda Fit manual.

Thanks Dan.
I was trying to avoid taking it apart. My hands are full getting ready for this weekend at VIR. It's looking like i'll have to do it though.
My timing light says it's off, but the rpm's on the light(it has that feature) read a lot higher than on my dash, so i'm conflicted in a conclusion.
I have a 7 blink code(lambda) that I can not figure out
Just a random thought on the code thing. Maybe you're getting two codes: 5 (low voltage) and 2 (air temp). Low voltage warnings are easy to get, the threshold is easy to hit and they don't shut off until you turn the ECU on & off even if the voltage goes up after you start the motor. Air temp sensors are easy to mess up (I broke one off installing it). Next time you've got it running disconnect the air temp sender & see if any codes change.
Thanks Sam,
I already verified that wasn't the case with the blinkys. I'll give you a call after lunch
CODE 7 is Lambda Sensor Fail. Does the car run in limp mode ( the default reaction to a failed Lambda )
. Check the plug that no pins were pushed back when installing
