Default 1973 Crossle 25F Set Up - Weight Balance

I am assembling a 1973 Crossle 25F. I am about to install the battery, electric’s, and fire system. Is there a certain balance and weight I should be striving for? The car is going to be heavy in the tail, should I put more weight in the back, or balance it out front? Really the battery is my biggest option. Open to any other input on weight, balance, set up. Tnx!

I think within the wheelbase is best, mine is on the floor just in front of the seat in my 25.

Dan is right. Typical installation is fire bottle and battery under your thighs.

Test is to see if you have enough room for your legs during driving and also getting in and out of your car.

I am restoring a Crossle' 32/35 and the new fire bottle is about 3/4 of an inch higher in diameter and does not fit well in its usual space under the aluminum thigh support. I moved it under the dash but it blocks my legs or more exactly my size 12 feet from sliding in. Will need to fab a new thigh support that curves a little higher...

That is where I was going to go, but wanted to confirm that I shouldn’t shift weight elsewhere. Thank you.
