    Default Body Alignment Pins

Anyone have a source for these?

I see them on Primus' website but they are out of stock.

10-32 thread, 1.5" total length, 1.0 pin length.

Used on my 94 VD front cover.

I've made 'em out of round stock with a threaded hole in the bottom.

    McMaster has a selection: https://www.mcmaster.com/#alignment-pins/=1bjl20y

they are pretty hard, might need to anneal them if possible or use cobalt drills and taps.

Yeah, been looking through all those.

The best thing I came up with was a shoulder screw and just trim down the head:

but the thread is too short to work. Hate when that happens...

I have a few around if you’re not in a rush. I’ll dig em up.

I actually like xmazda’s solution better, though. I’d use a round head cap screw instead of button head. Either way, I like that it allows for easy installation without a pliers/marring the pins.

I've searched high and low. All the pins I find are too big in diam. and use a nut on top and below to fasten.
No room for the upper nut in my application.

Revised version. The head on the screw above it wider than the spacer. And 1" is a little long.

    So, 7/8" spacer:

and a screw with a smaller head - not button....

Google "aluminum round standoff" . Look for threaded 10-24 or 10-32. mount with button head from back side instead of nut.
