    Default Soft soled shoes

Does anyone have any recommendations for soft soled driving shoes?
I like to feel the pedal, but all of the shoes I have looked at have very hard soles...
    Any suggestions?

Because I am tall, there never was enough room for my feet.

I used wrestling boots when you could get them in leather. They had very thin soles. At one time Simpson made a racing boot that was just about what I could buy at a sporting goods store.

I had a shoe shop sew leather on the outside of my arch where I would operate the accelerator while pressing the brake at the same time.

    Check with Averill about Pyrotech/Racequip.
Way under a hundred a pair, just what you want. Small soles, great feel for modulation. I use a full size smaller than street shoe.
    Last pair lasted 10 seasons

Sparco Superleggera are wonderful shoes. I switched to them for better feel and to have more room in the pedal box. They’re basically no thicker than socks! Extremely comfortable. Just wearing them will make you feel faster

Also, keep in mind that just like most street shoes, they soften as they are broken in. I also wear one size small, but still wear them around the house to break them in.

Ouch. Walking very much in my driving shoes gives me black toenails...

Just a thought - if you have big feet, soft soled shoes, and little brake pedal pads, when you stomp on the brake it's hard to keep from inadvertently holding the gas down because your foot will "flow" around the brake pedal.

Adjusting the gas height just makes it hard to blip when you aren't braking real hard.

I had to put an aluminum plate in my shoe. works like a champ.

what I really need to do is stop using the brakes.....

alpinestars makes some that are good. Love mine, hate the laces but the shoe itself is so flexible and soft.
