    Default Montreal in January

    Stupid question of the day:

If one found themselves nearby, say Vermont, is there any great reason to visit Montreal in the middle of January?
    Quebec City?

Realize, that as i type this my area is being invaded by Canadians who will stay for months. Tomorrow is supposed to be something like an oppressive 77 degrees.

Quebec City is absolutely cool, even in winter!

I've read they are making big changes to the GP circuit. That might be interesting to see (if possible).

I cannot think of a single reason to visit Montreal or Quebec in January. And that's after living in Maine for near onto 7 years.

Well, having lived in Montreal for 20+ years, I'll offer this: yeah, there's no real joy right in the city in January, but the Laurentians are wonderful in winter. Also, if you can delay a couple of weeks, the winter carnival in Quebec City starting at the end of Jan is also great (and the city itself is worth seeing any time).

    Default F1 Circuit

The work will begin shortly after the 2018 F1 weekend and is really all about the pit lane and garage area, making it more like the ones we see in Europe and Asia. Have to keep the VIP's in the atmosphere they are accustomed to . The track itself is not scheduled to be changed.

    Brian.

PS it will be very cold in January, but the Tremblant area is fantastic 365 days a year.

    Default Q City

the insanity of the ice canoe race across the semi-frozen St. Lawrence river is reason enough to go
