    Default Lost Firefighter

We lost a firefighter at the Thomas Fire in Ventura County, CA this morning. Cory Iverson was from San Diego and leaves behind a 2 year old and his wife who is pregnant with their second child. He was supporting the east edge of the fire near Fillmore, not more that 1 1/2 miles from our house. The fire was very quiet all night but with the sunrise winds the fire made a run down a nearby draw. Several units and air support were dispatched. Shortly afterwards the call for a man down was heard over the radios. It was the worst. God bless Cory's family and all the 8000 firefighters on the Thomas line.

Not looking good today. Winds are the danger that traps firefighters. We're expecting high winds again.
