    Default Horst Kroll

I recently learned that Horst Kroll past away last Thursday from a heart attack.

Horst was the 1986 Can Am champion in a Frisbee KR3. He also won the Canadian Driving Championship in 1968, driving a Kelly Porsche. A true competitor of his day and a great Canadian racer. Horst started out in formula Vee racing a Kelly FV before moving on to making his own cars, the Altonas. We owned one of Horst's Altonas for a number of years, and just sold it a couple of weeks ago. It was one of the best handling Vees that I've ever driven, including modern cars. The plan was to bring it back to his liveries, but never had the time or money to make it happen...

For anyone interested, the visitation and funeral will be held at Ogden Funeral Home in Scarborough, Ontario.
    Visitation Nov 2, 5pm.
    Funeral Nov 3, 1pm

A bit more about Horst. A good read about a very impressive driver who really made it work with the bare minimum.
