Thank Goodness that it's so far away, that I have 5 projects right now and we just bought a tractor for the house. But, I do remember Jerry driving it back in the day and it was quite impressive!

Any idea as to when this one was built? Back in the fall of 1992, I dated Jerry's daughter Alexis for a little while. I got to drive a Bandit at an OVR-SCCA event at the old west campus location. At the time, it felt like being strapped into a rocket.

Default Mazda Bandit AR1 - still alive

Apparently Tony has done many updates on the car. It was fast years ago, should be faster now. We did have a PP engine in it before but the bridgeport should be very close and may have some other advantages. Car sounds like it is race trim and ready to go with fresh motor. Anyone who wants to get in to autocross or Hill Climbs ..... this is a bargain. Have your doctor check you out before buying. I can guaranty you will need to learn to drive the car and it will be a handful for a while. Just an FYI from Jerry. I even thought of buying it back, but I have a car here which needs finished.

    Default Floyd's old car

Sort of visit it every couple days. Was digging into it until I laid the 13 x 15 wide rims on it and found an issue. Entire rear suspension needs redesigned. When younger I was hungrier. Now I just look at it like one more obstacle to surmount. Have engine parts ... 6 lb lighter rotating mass, all balanced. Car would be 12" shorter with similar wings. Do not like some components which could fail under higher down force loads. More obstacles. Transaxle is also something which needs changed. Mark 9s do not like higher stresses.
I do golf, play pool and fish. Some days that is enough, but I do miss the acceleration factor. Thanks, Jerry

Sorry to hijack the thread, I think Floyd would buy it back, as per his buddy, Cosner. As far as MK9, you need to swap in mk5 internals. Moreck had a few failures with his car.
