Thanks for the headsup, Bruce. John just got registered for Monday 11 to 12.
Yep Thanks Bruce for letting us know, I'm in.
Ben
I did Monday at 10-11am.
Now just waiting until I can signup for paddock area. I got an extra 25x25 just because.
Any idea when they post course maps?
Also...I noticed last year they hade a "trailer parking" section. Are you required to put your trailer there or is it an option?
Neat; 2017 Solo Nationals Registrations Map. CM entry as of Tue Jul 25:

That's a pretty cool map, Chris!
Would I need an extra spot? I'm towing a 16 x 7 enclosed. I was planning to unhitch the trailer and leave it there for the 3 days I'm on-site.
I was planning to put the car back in the trailer each night though, which means I would need to drive through the spot to drop/pick up the trailer on the first/last day. I didn't pay attention to such things when I was in a street-able car.
You get one space per entrant... so if you and a co-driver get coordinated and snag adjacent spaces, you have a 25x50 paddock space. This has been my MO. Except last year. I made a 25x25 work last year with my 16x8.5 trailer and some accommodating neighbors. It helped that I arrived on Sunday and left on Friday, too. I didn't need to do the pull-through stuff mid-week.
If you get the chance to paddock next to someone you know, I bet they'll be willing to work with you.

Does anyone have a seat in CM available at Nationals? I am starting to drive Phil's car here in the PNW but he will not be making it to Nationals this year. With a little luck I can be reasonably on the pace and don't have any history of breaking things or otherwise being hard on the equipment.
I am 5'7, 155lbs, with a 29" inseam.
Cheers,
Mark

Ted jumped in my car last year, after a few test runs, and matched my times.
Tip on paddock: Airport side is at a higher elevation. I watched things float toward the drainage grates on the main road during last year's Friday deluge. Watch for low spots that puddle in your spot.
We need some more Vees! Currently only 4 out of 22 are Vees.
Wow, less than 200 spots left!! Don't wait!!
Now 23. Do I hear 24?
Karen Babb just sent the "one week until late fees" reminder email to the chiefs team. So, register this week if you haven't yet. The fee goes up on the 7th.
Andy
As of 9:25 EST, Tue Aug 1st, only 125 spots remain before the Solo Nationals hits its cap of 1350. If you're thinking of entering, don't wait; do it now...
CM/CML entry looking good; 24 in CM / 3 in CML...

Don't think I posted this before.

Now at 1300 including the Junior Karts.
How many trophies per class are there?
From page 55 of the 2017 edition of the SCCA National Solo rules:
Chris Pruett
Swift DB1
1340 with 12 hours 27 minutes left until the late entry fee kicks in.
There is now a good chance you will see Krystal at the event but I am only about 10%. Our car wont be there so she is actively looking for a CML ride.
If I can swing it I will also need a co-drive, but can't give any commitments until closer to Aug 23.

Hi,
I have been given word that selecting individual paddock spots will
open up tonight at 9 pm eastern. The link will go live roughly at 6 pm eastern.
That link again is: http://paddocknow.solomatters.com/
The south end near the courses are where the chiefs are and the rows closer to the courses tend to fill up first. The rear of the paddock closer to the practice course populates later and usually isn't really filled. The large region party tents tend to be there. However, this year the paddock registration process is different, so the above might change some.
Wow, Bruce! Row 1.
Any idea when they post the course maps?
The interactive map is pretty neat. You can select a class (like CM) and it highlights where all the drivers in that class are pitted.
Run/Work is up: https://dk1xgl0d43mu1.cloudfront.net...pdf?1502818801
CML runs 1st and works 5th (ugh!)
CM runs 4th and works 2nd
I need to order rain tires.
The forecast looks good: https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/li.../329505?day=21
My Magic 8 Ball agrees, which is probably more credible than a 20-day forecast.
