I have had a couple of requests about selling my Twin Cam separate from my Brabham project. This engine is freshly rebuilt, all steel bottom end, built more for reliability than max horsepower.


Lotus Twin Cam race engine, 170HP. New forged JE pistons, plateau honed bores, steel piston rings, coated main and rod bearings, steel main caps, line bored, polished steel forged crank, new Carillo steel rods, race cams ,valves and springs, titanium retainers, light weight buckets, aluminum custom dry sump pan, updated cartridge type water pump. Dual Weber's, 40 DCOE's. Not run since refresh, done by P & M MotorSport out of Colorado.

who did the original build/porting:
any repairs to head/block?
rope or lip seal?
crank bolts: #/size/pins?
not familiar with term: "plateau honed" (used a honing plate?) would you expand.....


My application is for a Lotus 23. Want/need something "period", not oversized... Appreciate seeing more details.
