    Default FF Engine CAD Model

    Hi All,

does anyone have a CAD model of the Fit or Kent engines? Anything would help, basic dims, mounting locations, package models, more detailed work, etc etc.

Would be willing to throw some $$$ to someone that took the time to build their own model, I know how much work it is and I'm not looking for any handouts here.

    thanks!

HPD has a model for the Fit engine. Contact them.

    Default Update from HPD

    Hi Steve,

thanks for the reply. I just heard back from HPD, they are only able to give out 2D drawings showing mounting bosses. No manifold, ancillaries, etc.

Have you or anyone else manage to receive a 3D model from them?

The HPD CAD file is the best option but if that is not available, I have a 3D scanner that can produce an accurate file (in STL format). If you deliver an engine with accesories to my shop in Florida, I will scan it and provide the file. You would need to pay all transportation costs.

I have a model but I also signed a confidentiality agreement with HPD for that model. I have to honor that agreement. I did the design for the Fit adapter to the Hewland Mk 8/9 transmission.

Now, if you can build a model from the drawings that HPD supplies and need to confirm some dimensions, I might be able to help.

Thanks all for the replies. Understood on the confidentiality issue.

Sounds like I'll be visiting a local FF-Honda team with a measuring tape.
