In the past the Zetec engine required seals from either Elite or Quicksilver. Is that still the case for SCCA National competition. I can't seem to find anything in the GCR requiring the seals.
Any information would be great.

I believe seals are not required for SCCA club events. I think since virtually all of the Zetecs built are either Elite or QS, they'll have the seals on them anyway.

I hope seals are not needed since I'm building my own engine.
Because racecar...
The seals are in effect QS and Elite's representation that the motor is legal and built to a certain HP range. They are still required in F2KCS.

I doubt either engine builder would seal your engine just by running it on dyno without opening it up and making sure it had all the proper parts inside and that they met the requirements of the class. I think you will have to pay the going rate for a rebuild from either one of these engine builders in order to get a sealed motor.

Per Bobs rules we can seal your engine for his series based on the HP it makes on the dyno.
Thanks
