1998 Edge II Formula Vee with Enclosed Trailer for Sale $5750 OBO

For sale is a 1998 Edge II Formula Vee. It’s a Lynx variant of which three were built.

In 2014 the car was completely refurbished. It won 8 of 10 races that year, set 3 track records and was the Midwest Council points champion.

It ran two SCCA race weekends in 2015 – the last one was at Thompson Speedway in October. The car has not raced this season.

The car is equipped with:

- National engine from Veetech (one of the last engines built by Veetech)
- Brian Harding intake manifold
- Velocity stack
- MyChron3 Gold digital dash
- MOMO steering wheel with quick release hub
- Adjustable quick steer blocks
- QA1 adjustable shocks
- OMP belts (good through 2017)
- Short and long box transmissions
- Light weight high torque starter with 2 spares
- Light weight Shorai battery with Charge and Store Battery Management System
- New steering box with spare steering arms
- 2 sets of wheels
- SCCA and Midwest Council SCC logbooks

Included with the sale is a 6’x10’ enclosed trailer with a 2" ball hitch. The trailer has a winch, tie downs, bearing buddies and a spare tire.

The car has a modest sized cockpit. In addition, the car needs a new ride height adjuster which will be included with the sale.

This looks to be a nice solid car for someone who wants to run in the Challenge Cup, especially when you consider that it includes an enclosed trailer.

The chassis needs a little clean up and some bodywork. The really good news is the chassis is made of light weight chromoly and fits large drivers! Larry is 6'4", 245 lbs and he fits... When the car was racing it weighed in under 800 lbs with some fuel in the car.
